You’d still take the same classes, join similar student-orgs, get a similar job, etc. Let’s say you get into your dream school. It’s more about what you do with your time in college. This is super important for me, especially since I’m a pre-med student and good grades matter when applying to med school.Īt the end of the day, it does not matter which college you get into. I truly believe that the less competitive atmosphere and chill nature of UCSD compared to UCLA has allowed me to thrive as a student. However, after being at UCSD for the past 3 years, I am honestly so grateful that life turned out this way. Getting rejected from UCLA hurt my self esteem a lot because I had worked so hard throughout high school.
